I still haven't fully recovered... but I -have- managed to get my report and virtual community online!

It's great to see your virtual community getting underway, and I found the in-class discussion quite stimulating about how to get past the various firewalls and institutional barriers that impede the development of VCs. Schools, for example, are a great real-world place for people with shared interests (and assignments) to find each other and congregate. Unsurprisingly, high schools are very protective of these user-groups (although I'm sure most of the students belong to many online communities already). The process of working out clearances can be very time-consuming and crucial (as it is with getting filming permits, or permission from research subjects).
That said - I'm also extremely excited by your wearable projects and would love to explore relationships between second life and wearables / clothing and avatars... really amazing stuff!
